A few words about myself
My name is Alexander and I am 63 years old. I am an artist by profession.
I have been loving and collecting N scale for 50 years now, and my collection is now very large.
Since 2015, I have been making models myself. I named my production "Attic de Papa" with a nod to a small workshop in the attic.
I started with conversion models, mainly repainting them. But later on, I started making models out of brass myself.
A year ago, we opened online store. My first models were wine barrel cars of France and models of "Champagne Mercier" cars (not like those from Brawa, but the correct ones). Then came the beer cars from Baden, Bavaria, Elsass/Alsace and wine barrels from Switzerland (small single barrel wagon). Now I'm working on continuing the theme of wine barrel cars from SBB, with two versions of wine barrels, one with a brake cabin and one without. My models are not cheap, but they are aimed at experienced collectors who want to add exclusive exhibits to their collections.

Guten Tag, liebe Kollegen! Heute haben wir die Abstimmung auf unserer Website Attik de Papa beendet. Ich möchte mich herzlich bei allen bedanken, die an der Abstimmung teilgenommen haben, denn es ist für uns wirklich sehr wichtig. Insgesamt haben sich 738 Personen angesehen, was wir dort tun - 225 Personen haben abgestimmt. Wir haben diese Ankündigung auf vier Foren für N-Scale-Enthusiasten in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Italien und Frankreich veröffentlicht. Ich zeige die Ergebnisse hier und wir können unsere Meinungen und Wünsche in unserem Laden- und Website-Blog diskutieren und austauschen. Dort haben wir auch einen kleinen Artikel über unsere Arbeit und zukünftigen Pläne veröffentlicht.

Dear colleagues, fellow hobbyists,
I have finally completed one of the most challenging projects – building and creating a series of Citroën-Kégresse P17 models. The scale is 1:160. For two years, I worked on designing the model, creating control etchings, assembling and soldering, then making modifications and adjustments, followed by creating test models. At such a scale, the vehicle turns out very small, but I aimed to preserve the detail and appeal of a brass scale model.
The entire series consists of 30 models, and I am most likely not going to continue it, as the assembly of the model turned out to be incredibly labor-intensive and complex. In a model measuring 2.5x1 cm, there are 54 parts made from 0.2mm thick brass sheet, with only the windshield made of transparent plastic. The body, wheels, and tracks are soldered, while bags, glass, and seat covers are attached with glue. Each model bears its own sequential number on a brass plaque located on the underside of the vehicle.

Wie sicherlich einige von euch wissen, steht Alexander Novitskiy mit seinem Team für Attic de Papa.
Um Ausführung und Qualität der erzeugten Modelle zu prüfen, habe ich mir das Modell des Weinwagens "Scaler & Cie Goldau" - SBB/CFF Epoche II zugelegt.
Etwas zum Bestellvorgang:
Die Bestellung über die Internetseite von Attic de Papa geht einfach von der Hand. Bezahlung entweder mit ApplePay, PayPal, Kreditkarte. Neben dem Preis für das Modell werden nach Deutschland noch 12,-€ Porto fällig.
Natürlich kommt ggf. noch der landesspezifische Zoll dazu.
Gedauert hat die Bestellung ca. 5 Werktage bis ich das Modell in Händen hielt!
Zum Modell:
Geliefert wird das Modell in einer stabilen Papppackung
und konturgenauem Schaumstoff-Inlay. Das Modell selbst ist in einer Plastikfolie eingepackt.
Zusätzlich befinden sich 2 Standard N-Kupplungen, 2 „Knockle“-Kupplungen (besser als Klauenkupplung bekannt) plus 1 Attic de Papa Hakenkupplung in der Verpackung.
Alle Kupplungen passen in die vorhandene Kupplungsaufnahmen nach NEM 355 und sind selbst anzubringen.
Alle Zubehörteile sind in kleinen Plastiktüten in einer Aussparung des Inlays untergebracht.
Diese Kupplungsaufnahme ist zwar seitlich beweglich, ist aber kein Kurzkupplungsmechanismus!
Das Modell selber ist in feinster Ausführung gefertigt, lackiert und beschriftet. Griffe sind aus feinen Messingguß- bzw. Ätzteilen nachgebildet. Die Ausführung des Modells ist in meinen Augen exzellent und zeigt den hohen technischen Standard bei Attic de Papa.
Neben den vielen angebrachten Kleinteilen besitzt das Modell 8-fach Speichenräder, welche zur Epoche passen aber, bezogen auf die Filigranität des Modells, etwas zu klobig wirken.
Die Aufbauten und das Chassis des Modells sind in Messing-Ätztechnik hergestellt, was ein gewisses Eigengewicht des Modells mit sich bringt.
Obwohl die Räder leicht drehen, merkt man doch, dass diese in einer Metallbuchse laufen und somit eine höhere Reibung als bei einer Kunststoffbuchse entsteht! Grundsätzlich sind die Laufeigenschaften aber gut.
Fazit:
Attic de Papa ist ein wirklich schönes und sehr detailliertes Modell gelungen (auch wenn der eine oder andere einen Kurzkupplungsmechanismus vermisst), das durch Detailreichtum und hervorragende Verarbeitung besticht.
Für einen Preis von 175,-€ erhält man als Sammler und/oder für den Einsatz auf der Modellbahn ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.
